I’m a communications designer, curious creative, and humanistic thinker originally from Alabama.
I am the creator of the CFBS Podcast, which explores the intersectionality of the experience of millennial women of the African Diaspora millennial. Topics include the discovery of a woman’s own sexuality and sexual expression through pop culture and society (i.e. religion, culture, etc.).
I’ve studied in Alabama (University of Alabama, December 2016), California, and New York (Pratt Institute, May 2020), and have traveled to Japan and throughout the United States.
I have enjoyed partnerships involving brand identity and designing for social impact and media. Some of the most interesting projects to me have promoted diversity, education, and human-centered concepts (e.g., sexuality, sociology, interactions, women, minorities, and cultures around the world).

NCIT: Embrace Family and Advocacy in Branding
National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers (ncit) is an organization that advocates for pregnant mothers and post-natal children up to the age of three within the minority community. With the brand, it’s important to bring in boldness and color while also providing helpful information on parenting, advocacy, policy and childhood growth and development.
Dilemma
The original logo wasn’t scaleable and didn’t lend itself to the parent and child-related content space. It was moved towards being more scientific and unapproachable. Essentially, the client wanted to revamp the brand to feel more relatable to the majority.

Progress and Updates....
The website design continued that fun and playful energy started in the new branding by incorporating children’s toy elements like building blocks, playing cards, rattles, etc. The client loved the initial design, but they did find that there were elements of it that didn’t work well or needed to be developed further on the homepage and partners pages. Specifically, the “What can you do?” section, Partners section, Partners landing page and adding in an Events section.

Role - Designer
In 2023, Studio Mosaic entered collaboration with National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers. Initially, I started off working on the branding in collaboration with the design department head and creative director to develop the logo and extended branding. In researching child-related branding, I found that most follow lowercase and rounded font styles and bright colors in their branding.
This project primarily focused on branding, monthly social media designs, and website design with evolving edits for additional needs. The social posts and website were in collaboration with other department designers, developers, and project managers.

Playfulness continues but now let’s slide in some animation.
