I’m a communications designer, curious creative, and humanistic thinker originally from Alabama.
I am the creator of the CFBS Podcast, which explores the intersectionality of the experience of millennial women of the African Diaspora millennial. Topics include the discovery of a woman’s own sexuality and sexual expression through pop culture and society (i.e. religion, culture, etc.).
I’ve studied in Alabama (University of Alabama, December 2016), California, and New York (Pratt Institute, May 2020), and have traveled to Japan and throughout the United States.
I have enjoyed partnerships involving brand identity and designing for social impact and media. Some of the most interesting projects to me have promoted diversity, education, and human-centered concepts (e.g., sexuality, sociology, interactions, women, minorities, and cultures around the world).

Springfield-Greene Public Library: Make Exploring a Library Site more Fun and Editable Via Wix Studio
Springfield-Greene’s new website design implements the organized design of art and niche museum sites and generates a new modern style for library websites.
Dilemma
Design a better and cleaner version of a library site that will be used to develop a system for future library sites. Additionally, the design needed to take into account the parameters of working in Wix Studio and the limitations thereof.

Custom Components

Custom CSS for Sections
-
Template Creation
A lot of library websites house a lot of data (Events, Services, Books/Movies, etc.), but they also tend to appear very boring. I conceptualized that museums were a better theme to pull from. They have the same large amount of content, but they’re a lot easier on the eyes and tend to be more visually intriguing.

Role - Designer
My role at Studio Mosaic for this project was leading the design direction for the website through moodboarding and iterating custom and template webpage in Figma. The website was a collaboration between the project management coordinator, web developer, myself and occasionally other designers on the team for suggestions, additional work, etc.
